Observation weeks are a chance for friends and family to visit the daily open classes and choreography sessions throughout the entire observation week. It is a chance for visitors to see how the classes are run and how their dancer is progressing! Below are the observation week dates for the 2017-2018 EDC season!
Observation Week Dates
To allow EDC dancers the chance to perform more, we will be having informal in-studio performances throughout the year. These performances could include anything from a technique demonstration, improv performance, or a preview of competition pieces. Below are dates for the in-studio performances and additional information about each performance will be given as it gets closer. Anyone and everyone are welcome to attend the in-studio performances, so invite all of your friends and family!

Young Choreographers Showcase
The Young Choreographer Showcase is a chance for any EDC dancer to become a choreographer and showcase their work on stage. Any EDC dancer interested in choreographing for the showcase will be responsible for the concept, choreography, and dancers for their piece. Free studio time will be given to every choreographer prior to the showcase based on their schedule to rehearse their pieces. At the showcase the audience will be asked to vote for their favorite piece and the winner will be given the chance to compete their piece at a local competition and it will be performed again at the Elite Dance Center Showcase. We will also announce the runner-up and they will have the chance to re-perform their piece at the EDC Showcase.
Elite Dance Center Showcase
All EDC dancers will perform in this end-of-year show.
