Whether you know us as Elite Dance Center or Emily’s Dream Company, what matters most is the community and excellence we’ve built together. Under the passionate ownership and direction of Emily Rhoades since 2021, Team Elite proudly enters its second year of growth, artistry, and inspiration. Emily’s leadership has shaped EDC into not just a studio, but a home for dancers and families alike.

At EDC, we strive to embody “Elite” in every sense — in training, in values, and in the culture we create. Our mission is simple yet profound: to uphold our vision every day, in every class, and with every movement. When a dancer walks through our doors, they enter a carefully cultivated space of safety, positivity, and the feeling of coming home. While our passion is dance, our purpose extends far beyond the studio. We are equally committed to developing kind, respectful, and resilient young people. The dance world is vast yet close-knit, and at EDC we believe that kindness will always take center stage. Our staff lead by example, continuously guiding students down paths paved with integrity and compassion.

Our Staff & Training Philosophy
Our faculty is composed of exceptional educators and artists. Each brings a unique blend of collegiate-level dance education, professional dance company experience, and extensive backgrounds in both performance and competitive teaching. We offer comprehensive training in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Tap. Our curriculum also dedicates significant time to technique, strength and flexibility, cardio conditioning, and audition preparation—ensuring our dancers are prepared for both industry and convention opportunities.

In addition to our accomplished staff, we strongly believe that broad exposure to diverse choreographers and teaching styles is essential to creating well-rounded dancers. Each season, we welcome guest instructors who are active professionals in the dance industry. Their expertise brings fresh perspectives and challenges that help our students grow artistically and personally.

While we are a competitive studio, we are equally passionate about the convention world, which we see as one of the greatest gifts we can offer our dancers. EDC attends two to four conventions annually, providing invaluable opportunities for learning, networking, and inspiration.

Dear EDC Families, Dancers, and New Friends,

As we embark on another incredible season together, I wanted to take a moment to share something from my heart.

Owning Elite Dance Center and being able to teach each of your dancers is more than just a job to me — it’s my greatest passion. Every time a dancer walks into my classroom, I don’t just see a student; I see a unique individual full of potential, dreams, and creativity. I genuinely love and care for every single dancer who becomes part of our EDC family.

At Elite, it has always been my mission to provide more than just exceptional dance training. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where dancers feel valued, encouraged, and empowered — both as artists and as people. Whether it’s their first plié or their final bow as a graduating senior, I am honored to guide them not only in dance but in life.
